Liam smiled a little, leaning back in his chair, but keeping their hands clasped. He chuckled softly, shaking his head. She didn't get it. Most people didn't. Sure, Liam had a healthy sized ego, more than healthy really, it was massive. But he was far from being self centered. It was his own, home grown self defense mechanism. He didn't use his fists to combat people, not normally. He used his own staggering self confidence. It was surprisingly effective, and he paired with the ability to laugh at himself, it generally endeared people to him. He wouldn't try to claim that underneath the bravado, he was an insecure little boy or anything, but he certainly didn't believe he was God's gift to women, or anyone really. He was just Liam.
“ It's not like that at all. It's just, like, a shield or something. I don't mean half the stuff I say about myself. I'm not wicked insecure or anything, but over compensating makes things easier, you know? he chuckled “ It's like you and your threats. Yeah you're tough, but you aren't so whack job who's going to beat the crap out of anyone just because you can. But sometimes it's easier to deal if people think that, right? For me, people find it bloody hard to take the piss out of you if you're always retaliating with a 'but I'm so awesome'.” He shrugged “ Or maybe I'm just an insufferable egotist.”

Skylar Elizabeth Brown(Cause Ain't No way I'm Let You Stop Me From Causing Mayhem)(When I Say 'em Or Do Something I Do It, I Don't Give A) (Damn What You Think, I'm Doing This For Me, So F*ck The World)------------------------------
She looked over his face, another blank expression. Why did no one get that she really was a crazy person, and that she might actually beat the crapout of someone because she felt like it? As many times as she'd been sent to the medical wing, nine out of ten times someone else had been with her. Or she'd just sent other people by themselves. Not to mention threat of another snap and stabbing someone else to death.
She queezed his head softly, then slowly pulled her hand away from his. Thinking about snapping again made her not want to be around people, much less hold their hand. "A wanted quiet, and he breathed... That's why I tackled Anthony down the stairs." Skylar knew Liam knew Anthony, having since learned Liam and Anthony's girlfriend were friends. Skylar put her foot on the table and leaned the chair on its back two legs, crossing her arms her chest. "With this girl Alex.. She just annoyed me, so I broke her nose and was seconds from throwing her down the stair well.. But I was stopped." She rocked the chair back and forth, watching her feet. "But.. my step-dad... I snapped, and blacked out, and stabbed him to death in our living room." She pictured her front door, with yellow police tape across it. She remembered watching it from the police cruiser. "I'm psycho, Liam. It's not like I use the threat of violent to keep people away from me... I really will break bones if I have too." Liam didn't realize how lucky he was, really. He could be dickless and in a body cast right now, but.. Skylar couldn't explain it. Liam was different. She wasn't sure if that was good or bad yet. Her forest green eyes snapped up from her shoes to his blue eyes, then back down at her shoes.

Liam brought his hands to rest behind his head when she pulled hers away. He watched her as she spoke, his ever present smile not far from his lips. He didn't buy it. She played the tough girl, the psychotic, well. Too well. It was definitely a little alarming at times. But Liam refused to believe she actually was crazy. His eyebrow slowly rose as she spoke, she was certainly making a convincing argument for her lack of sanity, but he still refused to think that she was a nut job. Skylar was completely sane, he was sure of it. She just had issues. Big ones. And there were a lot of them.
He waited for her to finish speaking before he leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table and holding his chin in his hands. She looked up, then away, but he kept his pale eyes locked on her. He smiled a little and shook his head “ I don't buy it. I think you're a lot of things, and erratic and violent are two of them. But I don't think you are a psycho. Not even a little.[/blue]” He shrugged “ A crazy person doesn’t admit that they are crazy. They just are. You may actually believe you are, but, well, like I said, I just don't buy it. ”
He tilted his head to the side slightly as he looked at her “ I also don't think your behavior is something that can't be fixed... no, that's the wrong word, that implies there's something wrong with it. And there isn't. It's just Skylar. I for one, like the erratic. I just mean, you weren't always this loose cannon with rage issues. You changed once, you can change again. Its all up to if you want to or not. I think you're just trying to fool everyone, yourself included, into thinking you're a total whackjob that should be avoided.” he shrugged again “ I don't even know if that made sense to you, but I got it” he nodded.

Skylar's set her jaw, there she was actively trying not to look as mad as she was. She hid her clenched fists, and tried not to grind her teeth together. Why did he, and everybody else, insist she was perfectly fine? And Liam was convinced everything was just an act. Like she wasn't some kind of crazy person who deserved to be in a padded room. No, she'd taken a life. And it was a "crime of passion"? What the f*ck was wrong with the justice system?!
Skylar closed her eyes, wishing he'd just shut up already. All she was hearing was blood rushing in her ears, and her heart beating. It was trying to talk to someone that had their head under water. She wasn't hearing anything. It was then that Skylar decided she'd prove to Liam that she really was a crazy person.
Skylar open her eyes, and flew at him. She stood up, on the table, the chair she'd been sitting on went flying backwards to the chair but she ignored it, tackling him. From the force him and his force fel backward, Skylar on top on them. She grabbed too fist fulls of his t-shirt, yanking him so that he was inches away from her face. "No!" She growled at him trough clenched teeth. "It's not a f*cking game, Liam. Shut the f*ck up about shit you don't know anything about. You do not know me, Liam. I killed a man, and I had no right to do that. Because I'm not God. I snapped, Liam. Something in my brain is broken, something inside of me is terribly, terribly wrong. For once, Liam, what you think doesn't mean shit. Doctors have called me psycho so just SHUT THE F*CK UP!" She let go of his shirt, and stood up. She must have hit her knee on the floor because it hurt like a PMSing bitch. She stared at the boy for a few moments, then kneeled down. "Did you hit your head?" If he needed to go to the imfirmary she'd take him there.

Liam sat up slowly, holding the back of his head. He hesitantly took his hand away and looked down. No blood. He let out a breath of relief, he'd been sure when he felt his head smash against the ground that his hand would come away stained red. He let his hand drop and looked to Skylar, who was kneeling next to him, asking him if he hit his head. He shook his head, not exactly angry with her, but exasperated. He held up his hand, to stop her if she was thinking of coming closer to him. “ Of course I hit my bloody head.” he said through gritted teeth as he got to his feet. He looked around, the cafeteria had gone silent, every eye was on them. He narrowed his eyes at the students around them “ What? Haven't you ever seen someone tackled at a lunch table before? Kindly eff off” He snapped, and slowly, people turned away, conversations restarted.
He looked down at his pants, and frowned, brushing off the dirt and leftover bits of lunch that covered them after rolling around on the floor. Finally, he looked back to Skylar and let out a sigh. “ You know what your actual problem is Skylar? You don't f*cking listen to what people are saying. I don't think it's a game. I never said I did. ” He shook his head, and instantly felt a little dizzy. Damn, he must have hit his head harder than he thought. He took a second, looking like he was gathering his thoughts rather than like he was fighting off wooziness.
“You may be convinced you're a nut job, but I'm not. So stop f*cking trying to prove you are. Its not my job to try and convince you otherwise. You want to believe you're a raving lunatic, fine by me. But deep down, you know you aren't. You were provoked with your step dad. No, it doesn't make it right that you killed him, but it means something. It's why you would be sent here rather than jail or a psyche ward. You're angry, not crazy. You can't just claim you're a psycho every time something pisses you off.”

Him putting up his hand made her chest hurt, like she'd gotten the wind knocked out of her. It took a few moments to realize to realize that she could breathed, she'd just stopped for a few seconds. This is what she wanted, wasn't it? For Liam to not want her near him.. So why get it hurt so f*cking much, and make Skylar feeling like punching a wall? She didn't let the hurt show on her face, instead just standing up when he did, deciding kneeling on an injuried knee wasn't the best idea she'd ever had.
Skylar ignored the person staring at them, instead looking straight at Liam, trying to tell if he's eyes were dilating as they should be, or if he might have a concussion. She didn't want him to have a concussion, though it wouldn't be the first one she'd given out, it would be the first one she gave to someone to cared about. And f*ck a duck, she cared about William Wilkins, despite herself. She didn't care about people.. She hated the human population as a whole, herself inculded. Liam was the exception where there should be no exceptions.
Skylar just stood there while Liam yelled at her, or as close to yelling as anyone had gotten without getting punched in the face while talking to her. Okay, so, they weren't going to agree on this one, so she was just not going to say anything about it anymore. He'd see she truly was insane one day, if he chose too. When he was done she reached over, grabbing his hand softly, lacing their fingers together like before. She brought it up, gently kissing the back of it. "I'm sorry Liam, for tackling you.. Let's go to the imfirmary, okay?" A small, very small, smile found it's way to her face, and she looked up at him, hoping he forgave her. She didn't want to lose him when she didn't even really have him yet.

Liam eyed her warily as she took his hand, he half expected her to bite it. Instead, she brought it to her lips and kissed the back of it. Part of him wanted to wrench his hand away, and tell her to f*ck off until she learned to find an appropriate outlet for her rage. But she smiled, and the aggravation he was feeling started to melt away. Or maybe that was just the head trauma kicking in. Either way, he no longer felt like he needed to shake her until something dislodged in her brain and she saw sense of things. And more importantly, he definitely was feeling a little woozy. Perhaps a trip to see the good Doctor wasn't such a bad idea.
He let out a little sigh and ran his free hand through his hair. “ Yeah, alright. That is probably a good idea.” He leveled his eyes on her, light blue staring into bright green. “ It's alright. This time. Just don't F*cking give me head trauma every time you disagree with me.” He said somewhat sternly as they started walking out of the cafeteria. A few people's eyes still followed them curiously. Liam shook his head, bringing on another small wave of nausea as he gave them a sarcastic wave. Seriously, you'd think they were the only form of entertainment. Some people....
