These items are banned at Blackwood Academy for Delinquents, students are searched on their arrival and random searches of a student’s person, dorm or personal possessions may occur at random. The staff and faculty must have probable cause to conduct a search unless the student has been picked randomly for a search.
If any prohibited item is found on the student’s person, in their dorm or in their personal possessions then the student will sent to the headmaster who will decide a punishment. It is the student's responsibly to read this list and know what items are prohibited.
· Any drugs or drug facsimiles.
· Alcohol or items containing alcohol (mouthwash, etc.).
· Matches, lighters, flint stones.
· Knives, razors, letter openers, or anything that can be used as a knife.
· Firearms or firearm facsimiles (water pistols, etc.).
· Any tobacco products or tobacco facsimiles.
· Pornographic materials (Photos, writings, etc.).
· Cell phones.
· MP3 players (must be earned).
· Personal laptops (must be earned).
· Prescription Medications. All medication will be prescribed by resident psychiatrist and provided to students at meal times.
· Spiked, sharp, or studded belts and/or jewelry.
· Wallet chains, chain necklaces, chain bracelets, chain belts or any type of chain.
· Metallic jewelry or hair accessories (bobby pins, hair combs, etc.)
· Earrings or body jewelry with sharp protrusions/accessories.
· Anything that can be construed as drug paraphernalia (silverware, light bulbs, homemade pipes, store bought pipes, etc.)
· Anything that can be construed as a weapon (silverware, broken glass, blunt heavy objects, etc.)
