It had to be abundantly clear to the other girls that Bianca was a morning person. If it wasn't by the fact that she was voluntarily up and completely coherent at six in the morning, and had been for an hour and a half, then the fact that she was humming cheerily would certainly tip them off. Sitting on the floor in front of the coffee table, finishing up an essay, she was quite cheery for the early hour. Grinning as she finished, she put it in the binder she'd appointed for Social Studies, standing up and dancing a bit. Hair in a messy bun, as she wasn't allowed bobby pins to pin it properly, she used the side of the sofa as a barre. Going through the usual warm up steps she used, she continued to hum. Finishing her warm up, she began to dance around the room, taking herself through the familiar dances, refusing to lose her talent. Turning, and seeing another girl, she grinned. Stopping in her dance, she took a minute to strike a pose. "Good mornin'!" She sang it out, continuing without waiting for a response. "Good mornin'! We've talked the whole night through! Good mornin', good mornin', to you!" Starting to dance again, it was the steps she'd memorized as a child, watching the film repeatedly, singing and dancing along. Still, she had to improvise, as it was originally written and choreographed for a trio, not a solo. "Good mornin', good mornin'! It's great to stay up late! Good mornin', good mornin', to you! When the band began to play, the stars were shining bright! Now the milkman's on his way, and it's too late to say good night! So, good mornin', good mornin'! Sun beams will soon smile through! Good mornin', good mornin', to you and you and you and you!" Finally stopping, she smiled widely. "Good morning," she chirped, rather than sang that time. Oh yes, she was definitely a morning person.

Alex heard her watch alarm beep, and sighed as she threw back her covers. it was 6 o'clock in the morning. Alex liked to get in a good workout before breakfast. She sat up and pushed the button to stop the alarm, she didn’t need any of her roommates waking up pissed at her. Alex had always been an early riser. It was a bit harder now, ‘cuz she never got a good night sleep; she always had nightmares of that last night with Kendra. Regardless of that though, she refused to let it interfere with her morning workout ritual, she would not allow herself to get out of shape.
Alex got out of bed and changed out of her pajamas into some black and green athletic shorts, green crew neck t-shirt, and white socks. She pulled her hair back into a ponytail to keep it out of her face. She grabbed her running shoes and carried them out with one hand as she made her way to the lounge area.
When Alex first got out there, she saw a girl dancing. Then the girl started singing too. Alex had to admit the girl was pretty good at both. Alex listened to her and walked over to the corner of the room, she hoped she was out of the girl’s way. Alex set down her shoes, sat down, and began her stretches. She never worked out without stretching first; she didn’t want to pull something when it could have been avoided. She started with her hamstrings as she watched the girl. She extended her legs out straight and reached with both hands to one side, held it for a few seconds then released switching sides a few times. She continued doing leg stretches then she heard the girl speak to her.
Alex stopped and sat up straight as she looked at the girl and replied, “Mornin’.” She offered the girl a small smile as she spoke.

Smiling, Bianca leaned against the couch. "I don't believe we've met. I'm Bianca De Rossi." Stepping forward, she extended her hand. "What brings you to the common room so early in the morning?" Most of the other girls didn't seem to be early birds like she was. Seeing another girl up early was actually a very pleasant surprise. Judging by the fact that the other girl was stretching, she seemed to work out as well, something that made Bianca happy. Maybe they could exercise together. After all, doing things alone wasn't just boring, but it was sad, too.
Bianca wasn't quite sure why she was such a morning person. She supposed it had something to do with how she was raised. Every morning, for as long as she could remember, she'd been woken up at six with the smell of breakfast cooking. And when she'd gotten into high school and had packed her schedule full, she'd started waking up an hour and a half earlier, to make more time for her various activities. Even now, when she didn't have all of the activities she'd had back in New York, she woke up early. She was determined that when she got out, life would go on as usual, and it wouldn't be affected by her time here. This was just a detour. There was still time to get to where she needed to go.
And that was the thing with her, wasn't it? It was never what she wanted, always what she needed. She needed to wake up early so she had time to work out, shower, and put on make up so that she looked her best every day. She needed to maintain perfect grades so that she could be perfect there as well. And she had needed to shove it in the senator's face that he couldn't push her around, hadn't she? For her, there was no wants, no desires. Just needs, and the determination to fulfill them.
Blinking down at the other girl, she pasted a pleasant smile on her face. She needed friends too, didn't she?

Alex stood up slowly as the girl introduced herself. When she was fully upright, Alex reached out her hand, and clasped Bianca’ hand in her own, while she spoke. “I’m Alexandria Kilmartin, but everyone calls me Alex.” She stared her straight in the eyes as she gave the girl’s hand a firm squeeze and then released. She let her arms hang by her sides. “Well…I’m up ‘cuz I like workin’ out in the morning before breakfast. I usually get up and stretch, do some sit ups and push ups before going for a run, either on the track or around the school. I don’t know, I just feel like it. I’ve always been that way, for as long as I can remember. It’s a good way to start the day. It gives me time to eat, shower, and change into the stupid dress code this F*cking place has, before I have art class in the morning. I’m not one of those people who cam sleep until noon. I would feel like I wasted half the F*cking day or somethin’ if I did. I never understood how people could do that. It’s nice to see someone else up at this time for a change. Why are you up so early?” Alex asked.
Alex was used to tiptoeing around in the mornings to make sure that she did not wake any of the other girls’ up. She did not want to have to deal with there bitchyness, so early in the morning. It would put her in a bad mood and just ruin the whole day. She had done this pretty much everyday she had been here so far, and had never seen anyone else up. Bianca wasn’t just up either, she was like full of energy. It must be nice, Alex thought, to actually be able to get enough sleep in one night to have that kind of energy this early in the morning.

Staring back, unblinking, as her hand was grasped, she nodded. "It's nice to meet you, Alex." This girl clearly wasn't the type of girl that Bianca usually hung out with, but things were changing for her. Having a friend who was strong, as Alex seemed to be, would be good here. After all, she wasn't one for fighting, though she wasn't against others doing it. Arms moving to rest, linked, behind her back, she smiled at the other girl.
Listening to the other girl speak, Bianca couldn't believe her luck. She woke up early to exercise too? Well, this was just perfect, wasn't it? "I like to work out in the morning too. I practice my dancing, because I refuse to let my skills dull while I'm stuck here, and then I go for a run. I agree that it's a good way to start the day. I've done it since I started high school. I like having time to shower and do my make up without having to worry about how long I take. I actually get up at about four thirty every morning. I completely agree about sleeping in until noon. The latest I've ever slept in is eight, and that was when I was sick. Anyway, do you really hate the uniform so much? I find it to be rather soothing. It's nice not having to choose what I wear every day. It certainly saves time. But, yes, I'm always up this early. I agree, it's nice to see someone else up. A bit of a surprise, though, I must admit."
Bianca tip toed around too, in the mornings, to avoid waking her roommates, though that was mostly out of a sense of courtesy than an unwillingness to deal with them. It was hard to put her in a bad mood, and other people being cranky in the morning wasn't one of the things that could trigger a bad mood. Her whole time here, Bianca had been waking up this early, though she hadn't spent time in the common room yet. And, she generally had finished her work out by five thirty, and was in the shower by six. Today, though, she'd worked on that essay first, and that had thrown off her schedule a bit. Still, she was perky as usual. She supposed that going to bed at eleven and waking up at four wasn't such a bad thing, as it had never made her tired at all.
