It was Pink's first full week at his new job. He had taught a couple of classes and the kids were mostly well behaved for him, except for one kid... but he wasn't going to concentrate on that right now. He had come to the library because books had always calmed him. Sometimes he read them and sometimes he didn't, but the quiet dignity and history that they carried between their covers always put his worried mind at ease. It wasn't unusual for him to worry about next to nothing, he often analyzed each and every situation to death and always came to the worst conclusions.
Righ now he had a thrilling tale of a vicious pirate captain and some big-breasted maiden in his hands, but he wasn't really looking at the pages, nonetheless reading the words. He was thinking about his daughter. When he had initially discovered that he had gotten a woman pregnant he had panicked and run. At the time he had known that it was wrong, but he was a really young kid and didn't want the responsibility of a child yet. Then he had been otherwise detained and hadn't been able to find them and make things right. But now that he was out and free and had a good job he wanted nothing more than to make things right with Skylar. The only problem was that he hadn't seen her yet.
The thing that scared him the most was what Skylar's reaction would be when she saw him and discovered who he was. Being a teacher he had, of course, read her file as soon as he had had access to it, and what he saw disturbed him. The clutching claws of guilt that had been gnawing at him all these years had been so intense after that that he had had to work to catch his breath. When she was born he was just a kid and wasn't ready for fatherhood, but he would have been a helluva better father than the monster that had replaced him.
Pink put the book flat on the table and gazed off into space, lost in his own mind and wondering what would have happened if he had just owned up to what he should have. But the time for wondering is over. I am here now to take care of her. I just hope it's not too late. That was the scariest thought of all.

Skylar Elizabeth Brown(Cause Ain't No way I'm Let You Stop Me From Causing Mayhem)(When I Say 'em Or Do Something I Do It, I Don't Give A) [/size] (Damn What You Think, I'm Doing This For Me, So F*ck The World)------------------------------
Skylar walked through the rows of books. She'd been there since pretty early in the morning, just been hiding out in the back, reading a horror book called "Daemon Hall" It wasn't bad... But it wasn't good, either. She found where she'd taken it from the shelf and grabbed the one right beside it without looking at it, she just needed something to read and fill the void that was her life on her weekends.
She made her way to the front, and looked around. Every table had someone at it, and all of them were people Skylar would probably end up punching just for being there, because Skylar didn't like any of the students really.. Or anyone with a pulse. Skylar Brown wasn't a people person, at all.
Her eyes settled on a table with a teacher on it. She knew from the strawberry blonde hair that he was the computers. She didn't mind computers, not her favorite class but Skylar didn't have a favorite class. She didn't really have favorites of anything, except color. Maroon, which she was wearing in the form of a t-shirt. Beside that she was wearing black skinny jeans, and white converse. She walked over to the table, sitting down on the other side of the table from him, opening the book, not looking or saying anything to him.
