A new school had only been partially planned for Thomas Wilkins. He'd known he'd be starting high school, and had done that back in Boston, doing well while he was there. Now, though, he wasn't quite where he'd planned to be. At least, originally. Plans could change, and his had. The new plan had been to get into the school that his brother had been sent to, and, he'd succeeded. Sure, this was a school for delinquents, but it was where Liam was. So, Tom had done what he'd had to, and had gotten into it. Of course, what he'd had to do was stealing five thousand dollars worth of jewelry from a department store, but it'd been returned, hadn't it?
And now, he was here. Walking up to the steps in front of the school, he took a deep breath. He hadn't told Liam he was going to be coming to the school, and he hadn't let their mother tell him. That would only have worried him, and Tom didn't want to do that. Hopefully he'd find Liam before Liam found him, so he could calmly tell him what'd happened. He knew Liam would be mad at him. Why wouldn't he be? After all, Tom had purposely gotten himself sent to this school. It wasn't as if he'd made an honest mistake, and gotten in trouble. No, he'd stolen from a store so that he could get caught and sent to this school. Wasn't Liam always proud of him because he was so smart, because he got such good grades? Well, this was definitely one time he wouldn't be proud of him, and wouldn't think he was smart. Looking around the steps, he groaned as he saw his brother. And, of course, he was with a friend. A girl friend.
Stepping forward, he waved. "Liam! Hey, Liam!" Tom didn't have anything left to lose, did he?

Liam was with Skylar, freed from classes for the afternoon, the two of them were heading out of the school to the side yard, what he was rapidly coming to think of their spot. He was already looking forward to spending a few hours just screwing around, probably making out, it was pretty much as close to perfect as he could think of at the school. He reached up and loosened his tie and undid the top few buttons of his shirt, eager to get rid of the rigid uniform feeling.
“ So I was thinking tha-...” he started speaking but quickly trailed off. Someone was calling his name, and that same someone was waving. Someone who's voice was more familiar than anything else Liam knew, someone who's face looked exactly like Tom's, someone wearing the distinctive BAD uniform. But that could not be possible. Tom, his Tom was no where near this school. His Tom was back in Boston, getting top grades in school so he could get an awesome scholarship to a good college. There was no freaking way his Tom could be anywhere near this school.
What the hell... Liam muttered, letting Skylar's hand drop. He quickly cleared the few steps and reached Tom. He stood there silently, looking down at his little brother, a look of utter confusion on his face. Two very distinct emotions were running through him. The first was anger, what in gods name was Tom doing here? He most certainly did not belong at BAD, and Liam couldn't even imagine what the hell had brought him here in the first place. The second, and definitely stronger of the emotions, was a wild happiness. People rarely understood, but when he said that Tommy was his favourite person alive, he wasn't exaggerating. His biggest complaint about being sent to the school was how much he missed the kid. His face split into a wide smile, and he grabbed his brother by his thin shoulders, pulling the younger boy into a tight hug.
He squeezed him hard, half convinced that this was some kind of weird hallucination and Tom would pop out of existence. But he of course didn't. Liam let the hug go a moment later. But kept his hands on Tom's shoulders. The happiness was still there, but so was Tom. Meaning the anger wasn't going to disappear that easily. He gave the boy a smack upside the head, nothing hard mind you, just a friendly, exasperated, 'you idiot' kind of smack and gestured to the boy's school uniform. “ What the bloody hell is this all about then?”

Skylar Elizabeth Brown(Cause Ain't No way I'm Let You Stop Me From Causing Mayhem)(When I Say 'em Or Do Something I Do It, I Don't Give A) (Damn What You Think, I'm Doing This For Me, So F*ck The World)------------------------------
They were walking... in the middle of the day... publicly... hand in hand. It was one thing when they were sneaking around at night, no one saw them, and when holding hands in the cafeteria was pushing this... But this.. They might as well rent a billboard and put a picture of them making out on it. Skylar was kinda freaking out. Were they.. Official? Not that she was going to ask some girly ass crap like "hey are we going steady?" but still.. It would be nice to know if she had a boyfriend or not.
She looked up from staring at the ground blankly and to Liam as he started speaking. Then someone was calling his name, and he stopped talking. Not only that, he let go of Skylar's hand, which kinda upset her, because moments later he was walking towards the blonde boy, like she wasn't even f*cking there. No "I'll be right back" or explanation, just.. walked the hell off. Skylar crossed her arms over her chest and looked around. She wished she made friend, she might know someone in the court yard and be able to go talk to her. But, at last, she didn't make friends, so she was just going to go study in her much hated dorm.
One problem, however, was that Liam and mystery boy were on the steps, and she was pretty sure if she tried to pass him, Liam would grab her and introduce to whoever it was, and try to make them to friends... and it could be the Pope and Skylar would still be the same kind of bitch to him as she is to everyone else. So when Skylar got to the bottom of the steps, she stared at the two boys, wondering if she could run past them without Liam noticing.. She doubted it, so she just sat on the ground, her legs extended and crossed, her back against the brick wall on one side of the steps, waiting it out.

Seeing his older brother again was a little bittersweet. While Tom had missed him, he wished that they'd be reuniting somewhere with happier surroundings, like, he didn't know, any where but here? This place was depressing, and so was the fact that they'd be stuck here. At least they'd be together though, right? It'd been lonely without Liam at home. Their mom had gotten unbearably overbearing, constantly checking on Tom, never giving him a moment of peace. And so he'd seen no choice but to get sent to where Liam was. It was too late now to take it back, wasn't it?
Jumping up and down as he waved and called for his brother, a smile came over his face. Oh, screw it. Tom was happy to see Liam. His older brother was his hero, the person he relied on the most. And even if Liam was a little upset with him at first, he could never be angry at him for long. They were close, even if they weren't the same age. Despite the fact that he was four years younger than Liam, his brother had never tried to ditch him, or leave him out of what he was doing. He'd included him in what he was doing. He was Tom's best friend, even if it seemed weird to other people.
As Liam moved toward him, Tom stopped jumping and waving. Well, hopefully he wouldn't hit him too hard. Unfortunately, Tom bruised a little easily sometimes. But he knew that Liam wouldn't hurt him. Maybe just a punch to the arm, for 'being stupid'. But what did he expect? He couldn't just leave Tom alone, with their mom, and not expect him to do something stupid. As much as he loved their mother, the woman drove him insane sometimes. Especially when she would worry about his health. 'You don't eat enough.' 'You should sleep more.' 'Thomas, did you make sure there aren't any nuts in that?' 'Did you take your asthma medication?' It never ended, and it'd only gotten worse when Liam wasn't around for her to fuss over as well. He'd been going insane, and he needed his big brother to save his sanity. Really, Liam was the only person he could talk to. It was Liam that he went to when bullies picked on him, or he needed help studying, or had a nightmare. His brother was his favorite person, and so, he was relieved as he was pulled into a tight hug. Returning the hug, he held tightly to his brother, glad to finally see him again.
Wincing a bit as he was squeezed hard, he looked up at his brother with a small scowl. "Ow, Liam, not so tight." As he was released from the hug, the scowl turned into a bright smile, and he looked up at his older brother. Liam didn't seem to be angry, but it was too soon to tell. And then he was smacked upside the head, not hard, but enough to know that his brother wasn't completely happy with his presence. That had been expected, though. Rubbing the back of his head, he pouted a bit. "I'm a student here now, obviously. Why else would I be here, dressed like this?" Maybe being sarcastic wasn't the best idea...

Liam raised an eyebrow at Tom shaking his head, little bugger, being sarcastic with him. Of course, that actually brought a smile to his face, Tom needed more sass sometimes, Liam was usually encouraging him to work on it. He couldn't really fault the kid for doing it now. “ Yeah, I can see that. Question is why the hell are you here and not in bloody Boston where you're supposed to be?” he said, poking him in the shoulder, and trying to keep his face stern. As awesome as it was to see Tom, and it was really quite awesome, Liam would rather he be as far away as possible from this place.
He shuddered to think of what could happen to a sweet, gentle boy like Tom surrounded by all these criminals. Liam's eyes darted around the grounds, and suddenly, all the students milling about, minding their own business were potential thugs ready to beat the tar out of his poor kid brother. How the hell could this have happened? He brought his eyes back to Tom, looking at him suspiciously. Tom never did anything wrong. The only times he'd even come close to being a trouble maker was when he'd follow around Liam.. Oh no... “ Tom, please god tell me you didn't come here on purpose/” he said, a heavy feeling in his chest that he already knew the answer.
Liam could begin to imagine what things had been like back home without him around. Bullies, jack asses, boredom, and of course, their mother being over bearing as always, only without Liam there to deflect most of the obsessiveness onto himself. Tom would want out. Would want to go where he always went when something was bothering him. Which was of course, to Liam. The more the thought about it, the more likely the scenario seemed. Which meant this was his fault. Oh god, his poor baby brother was going to have a record and likely be the target of gods knows what just because Liam had been too dumb to make sure some drugs stayed hidden from a cop.
He ran his hand through his hair, letting out a sigh. “ Do you have any idea what this means Tom? You are stuck here. It's like juvie, you can't just leave when it gets hard... Aw shit” He grumbled, shaking his head.
It was then that he noticed Skylar sitting at the bottom of the steps a little bit away, looking unimpressed. And Liam had another 'oh shit' moment. He'd seen Tom and just walked away from her. Christ. Though Skylar knowing Tom was around was a good thing. Liam wouldn't be able to keep an eye on the kid all the time, wouldn't be able to scare everyone off. If Skylar was around too, well that would be a different story. Besides, hadn't he said he wanted her to meet Tom anyways? This wasn't so bad, there could be a silver lining.
He looked back to Tom and shook his head, but put a smile on his face and draped his arm over his shoulder. “ You are in no way off the hook for this kiddo. No way at all. But I am happy to see you.” he started leading him to the stairs, sitting down next to Skylar and patting the ground on his other side, “Have you eaten yet? Gotten settled in your room?” he asked like a mother hen “ And take a seat, and relax. You can explain later. Let's just catch up for now. ” he pointed at Skylar. “ This is Skylar, she's my... .. she's a friend of mine” he was going to say girlfriend, but really didn't want to have her flip out and run away. “ And Skylar, this is my idiot little brother, Tom”

Skylar Elizabeth Brown(Cause Ain't No way I'm Let You Stop Me From Causing Mayhem)(When I Say 'em Or Do Something I Do It, I Don't Give A) (Damn What You Think, I'm Doing This For Me, So F*ck The World)------------------------------
Skylar had been looking away from Thomas and Liam when she heard Liam's get closer, then he was sitting beside her, and she lazily looked over at the two. Wow. They looked nothing a like. Tom was so.. blonde, and baby faced, but his eyes were unmistakably blue, like Liam's, and they had close to the same smile. She extended a hand for him to shake, thanking God that her scar was on her left hand, like she did every time she went to shake someones hand. "Skylar Brown, Senior, Level Four." She gave him a polite but not exactly genuine smile. Tom would have better luck hugging a polar bear than getting Skylar to smile five seconds after meeting her.
After they shook hands Skylar redrew her hand, and looked at Liam, then away. Okay, so Tom.. It made sense.. But it was still rude as f*ck and kinda hurt that he had just ran off like that, and she honestly didn't feel like being the third wheel, today or any other. She had a feeling Tom was going to consume all of Liam's time for the next week while they caught up, and that was perfectly fine with Skylar. After all, she was "a friend of Liam's" and they clearly weren't serious. So where she would have normally grabbed his hand as soon as he sat beside her, she didn't, and where she would normally would've leaned over and kissed Liam's lips softly before stating she had to go, she stopped herself.
She looked back at Liam. "I actually should go, I have a science project due," That she'd already finished and handed in early. "And you should caught up with your brother, I can see how excited you are to have him back." She gave a smile, again it wasn't genuine, because of the fact that Tom was there. "I'll see you at dinner or something." She paused, then leaned over and kissed Liam's cheek really quickly before standing up, nodding at Tom. "It was nice meeting you after hearing so much about you." Anothr fake smile. She glanced at Liam, then at Tom, then began up the stairs. She didn't want to be needy and make Liam feel like he had to take time away from being with Tom to hang out with her, she wasn't like that, she could survive on her own. And Tom looked like he would annoy the living f*ck out of Skylar anyway.

Still pouting, Tom rubbed at his shoulder. Ouch, that'd been hard. "Well, I broke a law, the judge decided to send me here, and so I am. It'd be kind of impossible for me to be there right now." And he was still being sarcastic and snippy. Maybe this wasn't the best idea of behavior, but he was tired, and he'd missed his brother. He wasn't exactly up for being yelled at. Especially by Liam. After all, Liam was his protector. His big brother, his best friend. Being yelled at by him was not part of the deal. This was one time that Tom would stand up for himself, even if it was just to Liam.
It wasn't hard for Tom to imagine what his brother was thinking. Having grown up knowing Liam, and knowing how much of a worrywart he could be, it was certainly easy. Especially being as they were at this school, full of potentially dangerous students. He supposed that if the situation reversed, he'd be worried too. Still, he didn't want to be treated like a child. So, he wouldn't let Liam do that. Shrinking back a bit as he was looked at with suspicion, he smiled innocently. It faded, however, when his brother spoke, and he paled a bit. Damn it, had Liam really figured it out that quickly? Well, all he could do now was deny. Deny, deny, deny, and never admit the truth, even under coercion. "No! How stupid do you think I am, Liam?" Hoping that his response hadn't showed any of his nerves or that he was lying, he smiled what he hoped was an innocent, confident smile.
Crossing his arms, it was clear to Tom that this might have been a mistake. Liam would blame himself, and try to do his selfless big brother thing. Really, it was nice sometimes, mostly when there were bullies to contend with. But right now? He just wanted Liam to be happy to see him. After all, there wasn't any way for Tom to go back to Boston now. It wasn't as if he'd done something that hurt himself, right? Not that he could have, considering that their mother had all but wrapped him in bubble wrap before he'd left the house every day. Not to mention how she'd fussed over his allergies. She'd tried to make him see a pediatrician! He was fourteen, not four!
Looking down at his feet sheepishly, feeling like a little kid being scolded, and partially realizing that he was, he scuffed his shoes on the ground. "I know... But Liam! I'm not a baby! I can take care of myself, even if I'm stuck here. And besides, where would I leave to go? It's not like I have anywhere else to go, right?" He voiced his question a little softly, wishing his brother would just forgive him already. He got it, he was an idiot.
Blinking as his brother draped an arm around him, he looked up at him. Following as he was led to the stairs, he sat down next to Liam, just nodding a bit, feeling a little confused. This was a quick change from being lectured, wasn't it? "Er, no, I haven't done any of that. I just got here." Though he was glad to know that Liam was glad to see him, he wasn't looking forward to having to explain himself later. Smiling at Skylar, he nodded, shaking her hand. "Hello, Sklyar. Like he said, I'm Tom. I'm a freshman and a... level one, I think, is what they said. It's nice to meet one of Liam's friends, though. I just got here, so you're the first person I've met." Watching as she stood, talking about leaving, his eyebrows furrowed. Then she started leaving, and he wondered if he'd missed something. He'd seen her kiss Liam, so he figured they were more than just friends. Was she his girlfriend or something. Looking at his brother, and raising an eyebrow, he crossed his arms again. "She's not just a friend, is she? If you want to go fix it, go ahead. I should find my dorm and settle in, anyway." He didn't expect Liam to drop everything to spend time with him, after all. He did understand he had a life and friends of his own.

Liam watched Skylar stand up with a small frown on his face. He could easily tell that her smile was as fake as Pamela Andersons boobs. While he’d love for her and Tom to get along, and for them to be one happy B.A.D family, hanging out all the time and all that junk, he was well aware that it wasn’t likely to happen quickly. And what’s more, it was probably weird for her, having Tom suddenly there. She probably felt a bit like an outsider. Which of course was the last thing that Liam wanted. But he also wanted to spend some time with his baby brother.
He looked up at her, a small smile on his face. They would have time for group bonding later. He would make sure of that. Right now he was grateful for Skylar giving the two boys some time together, even if she’d decided to do so because it was less awkward for her, rather than because she wanted them to have time together. He mouthed a ”thank you” to show he was appreciative of her letting them just hang out. “ Ok Skylar. We can meet up for dinner later? Maybe make it a picnic?” he said with a bit of a smile. “color=blue]I’ll definitely meet up with you later though.” he nodded.
Liam turned back to Tom, smiling when he told him he could go after Skylar and shook his head. “She’s… well, yes more than a friend, but I wouldn’t call her my girlfriend just yet. And no need to go after her. It’s fine. And ” Well, he hoped it was at least, sometimes Skylar was hard to read. Especially when she had on her fake smile, could be sarcastic, could be hiding anger, could just be a genuine attempt to seem nice. God only knew.
“ Besides, you aren’t getting rid of me that easily.” he said reaching a hand up and ruffling Tom’s hair. “ It really is great to see you Kiddo. I missed having you around. How have things been at home? How’s mom? How are you?” he asked as he pulled his bag off his shoulders to open it up and route around. Ever since he’d started popping by the kitchen to work every once and awhile, he always left with a container of some food or another from the pushy chef, who seemed convinced that no kid ate enough. Today it was a pasta dish he couldn’t hope to pronounce. He handed the container to Tom. “color=blue] Here. Eat. You’re looking skinny.”
