“Why did you decide to go into teaching?”
I decided to go into teaching, when.. I was helping my younger cousin with their homework and would just pretend I was the teacher and I liked it, a lot. Also because I love to help kids understand and realize that they can do anything if they put their mind to it, if they really want it and try their hardest.
“What can you offer the school?”
I can offer enthusiasm, moral support, another teacher!
I can offer a different amount of things, and in a lot of different ways, I'm able to encourage my students to do and try new things
“Why do you want to work with troubled youth?”
Because I believe I can help them, and make them see themselves for who they can be, and really are. I think that I can bring more confidence out in them and like I've said encourage them to try something new to see what they're really capable of.
“How long have you been teaching? What subjects have you taught? Where was the last place you taught?”
I have been teaching for 9 years, I had... to take a couple years off before teaching again. And I teach French, I love and adore the language. And I last taught at a High School in Claifornia. Don't really care for mentioning the name :/
“How do you project yourself to students? How do you think your coworkers will see you? How do you see yourself?”
I present myself as a, well I guess you can say, good teacher. I like to help and do what I can to help others around me, I hope that my co workers will see me as someone who works hard and likes to do my best to accomplish my goals and help others succeed in what they want to do. And I just see myself as a lady determined to do the right thing, and help others when in need, and just a tall skinny brunette woman that has a 5 year old son.
“What is the worst decision you have made during your teaching career?”
The worst decision I have made during my teaching career, well I haven't really made any, because if I have, I don't think I would be here right now.
“Tell me a little about your life before coming to B.A.D.”
There's a lot to say about this area, and yet nothing at the same time. I grew up in a fairly wealthy family, and I would get good grades, I had a fair amount of friends, and... for a while life was good. But then, came a long love, and it's a difficult thing, and hard to explain what had happened. But I don't want to get into all that, because I don't want to seem like why I'm here, is something else. I would love to help these kids, these,.... teenagers and help them get out of who they think they are. All I want to say is, me and.. James Blackwood were in love, but things had gotten complicated, and I didn't know how to tell him, but y'know. I still, love him, I just wanted to do what was right for my career and he wanted to come here and help these kids! There's a little more to my coming here and wanting to help these students, which I would LOVE to do. But there's also another reason.
