science teacher ~ single mom ~ pregnant ~ tomboy ~ geek ~ haunted ~ twenty-nine ~ new to teaching
This sweetie pie is Ms. Chloe-Ann Felicity Hawthorne. She's recently gotten out of an abusive marriage, and is now struggling to raise her four boys without a father, while being pregnant with a fifth child. She's got the help of her sister, but otherwise, she's on her own for the first time in her life, and it's not easy for her. Her boys are her world right now, along with the baby she carries (she's hoping for a girl), and range in age from twin eight year olds (Matt and Nate), to her six year old autistic son, Aaron, and finally baby Nicholas at one year. Now, relationships for Chloe-Ann.
Friends are going to be big for her. She really needs them right now, between just getting out of an abusive relationship, and being pregnant for the fourth time. Friends for her can come from any age group, and she's a very good, very loyal friend, never one to abandon anyone. On top of that, with her life experiences, she's also pretty good at giving advice. (She's also likely to crack a science joke here and there. Friends should be prepared for that.)
Enemies will be few, hopefully. Chloe-Ann tries to please everyone, and I think more enemies will come from this than anything else for her, really. I'm sure someone is bound to be annoyed by the fact that she's so damn nice all the time. (And students who hate homework. That's another possibility.)
Lovers are gonna be kinda tricky, I think. She's got a lot of baggage right now, from her asshole of an ex-husband. She does realize not all men are like him, but still, she'll be hesitant to jump into anything.
junior ~ level four ~ seventeen ~ angry ~ secretive ~ musically talented ~ complex ~ metal head ~ Russian ~ proud
This badass is Ivan Alexei Solovyov, in for the murder of the guy that killed his girlfriend. Mr. Solovyov has a secret, though, and one that he doesn't anyone at Blackwood to know: when he was born, his name was Tatiana Irina Solovyov. That's right, Ivan is transgender, in the process of transitioning from female to male. He thinks of Blackwood as a chance to restart, to have a chance to be just a guy for once, instead of a guy who used to be a girl. Unfortunately for him, though, dorms are shared, so keeping a big secret like this could be hard. But who knows- maybe he'll meet someone who can see past who he was born as, to who he really is.
Friends might be a little tricky for Ivan. He doesn't avoid social contact, but he's not exactly Mr. Popular. I'm thinking friends for him will be fellow music lovers, and anyone into the idea of joining a metal band. (Ivan is very musically talented, playing several instruments and being a fairly good singer as well.)
Enemies shouldn't be too hard, though. Ivan is very opinionated, and isn't one to lie to spare someone's feelings. It isn't worth time, in his opinion. On top of that, anyone he hears bashing LGBT+ rights, is automatically on his shit list. That, more than anything else, will piss him off.
Lovers should be interesting, I think. Ivan is here because he beat the guy that killed his girlfriend to death, so that might be something that could freak a girl out. On top of that, the history of his gender might scare some girls off, but he's not going to lie to them about it. I'm open to any kind of ideas you might have here, though.
junior ~ level two ~ artistic ~ creative ~ bold ~ uncompromising ~ seventeen ~ quick to anger ~ French ~ rebellious
Next is my pretty little lady, Juliette Victoria Dupont. Born in France, and raised surrounded by paparazzi and on movie sets, it might not be a surprise that she's a bit spoiled. On top of that, she's been raised to think that rebellion is not only okay, but it's a natural part of life. She's artistic, not used to having to hold herself back, and has a hell of a temper. Once you've angered Juli, it's hard to take it back or make up for it. Luckily, she's getting better at controlling her temper. (Even if she still has outbursts from time to time.) She paints as her main artistic outlet, with drawing as a close second. (She wants to be a tattoo artist when she gets out of Blackwood.)
Friends are more important to Juli than she's willing to admit. She likes to pretend she's okay on her own, but she's not very good at being alone. What she really needs is people who will accept her for her differences, and won't mind her letting her creativity loose from time to time. (Besides her family, because there is no shortage of them.) Friends for Juli will need to be loyal, and possibly artistic. (I think a fellow artist would understand her better than anyone else.)
Enemies could be pretty prevalent, sadly. Her temper still isn't entirely under control, and while she can be polite, a lot of times, she just doesn't care. She also doesn't care if you don't share her opinion, it's her opinion, and she's going to share it. So I'm sure that she's going to manage to have at least a few of these.
Lovers might be a bit more difficult. Juliette is a lesbian, and loud and proud about it. Guys, beware: hitting on her is likely to result in her mocking you or kicking your ass, depending on whether or not you tried touching her. As for girls, she'll flirt, but Juli is still a virgin, and not sure if she's ready for that to change. (She pretends that she isn't, but once it gets down to it, she'll often come up with some excuse to chicken out.) Any ideas you have here would be welcome!
lonely ~ single dad ~ thirty six ~ polite ~ quiet ~ odd ~ intelligent ~ deputy head ~ British ~ addicted to sweaters
Finally, I've got Arthur James Churchill, deputy head of Blackwood. He's been through two marriages, both ending after both women cheated on him. (With his least favorite older brother, no less.) His three children are from both wives, though he isn't biological father to any of them. (Guess who is?) None the less, he loves his kids, even if his two boys drive him insane sometimes. His kids are A.J., named after Arthur and the oldest at 15 (I'll be putting up a request for him), Oliver, the middle child and biggest trouble maker at seven, and Madeleine, his little princess at 3 years old. He's here because his oldest is a student, though the fact that his bestie is English teacher doesn't hurt anything.
Friends should be interesting. Arthur's best friend since he was a kid, Henry, is the English teacher, and the two of them are bound to get into all kinds of shenanigans together. (Drunken dancing to the Spice Girls? Hell yeah!) Unfortunately, these two, smart as they generally are, become idiots when they hang out, and especially so when liquor is involved. So, Arthur needs at least one other friend, to make sure he doesn't get himself - or Henry - into too much trouble.
Enemies should be interesting too. I'm imagining most of these will be students who don't like him trying to do his job, or coworkers getting irritated with the fact that he's not always able to help them with what they want accomplished. He's generally a nice guy, just a bit quiet. If you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them!
Lovers might be hard, though. He's not exactly the most trusting of women, being as both of his ex-wives cheated on him. If a woman could prove trustworthy, and get his kids to like her, then he'd be happy to try again. For now, though, he's a bit nervous to love again.
