Pixel was so unbelievable done with this day. She hated this school and how strict it got. The teachers judged the students based on levels. One and two didn't really belong here, they just didn't have anywhere else to go. Then there were the psychos, like her and the rest of the level threes and fours, and they got punished for whatever they did. Pixel made a mistake, once. The one time she couldn't keep a hold her emotions and they boiled over. That'd never happened before, and every time she thought about it scared her. She closed her eyes tightly as she entered the stairs, taking a deep breath and calming herself, then she began walking up the stairs.
She took off her flats, bending over and grabbing them, leaving her in a grey button up shirt and black pencil skirt, with black tights. As she walked up the stairs, she began unbuttoning her shirt. She just wanted a shower, and to put on some pajama pants. She wasn't planning on going anywhere or doing anything with other students after school hours. There was nothing to do anyway. She was just going to go to her room and finish her book. She shrugged off her back pack, stopping at the top of the second floor she shoved her shirt and shoes into the bag, and she pulled her dark purple under shirt out from her skirt. So actually looked some what normal normal. She pulled her book out of her bag, and sat down next to it. Maybe just a couple pages.
A couple pages turned into a couple chapters, and Pixel didn't stop until she felt someone coming towards her. Emotions that weren't hers getting closer and closer. She looked up, sending calm waves towards the person coming towards her. He was in a couple of her classes, she recognized him. She smiled at him. "Hey." Maybe she'd make a new friend.

Anthony was still pretty new to all this power stuff. He wasn't very good at controling his yet. Mostly it always came about when he was angry. It was like his bodys way of releasing all the anger built up in him. He wasn't sure how much he liked being in a school full of freaks. Or being a freak himself. Besides this place was strict around here. More so for the higher up levels than the lower ones. It was sort of unfair But that's the way things seemed to be. The teacher of his last class only seemed to pick on the level three's and four's. There weren't many of those in his last class. So mostly it was him trying to answer questions he really didn't know the answer to. It really pissed him off and what he really wanted to do was burn a hole in her black board. One day it just might happen.
And he wasn't sure what was up with these stupid uniforms. Or the temperature in the school. But he was hotter than hell. Some of that came with his body temperature was unusually hotter than the others. By the end of the day his sleeves were rolled up, his tie was loosened and the top button of his shirt was undone. Today his shirt was grey. He thought he looked better with dark colors on. As he walked up the steps in the stair well he slowed his pace when a blonde girl came into view. He didn't know her but she was in some of his classes. Once he was closer to her his feet stopped moving. She'd spoken to him. "Hey" He wasn't sure of what else to say. He didn't really know her and if she was here she not only committed a crime but she also had something wrong with her too. Something that wasn't normal.

Pixel scooted over a little bit on the step she was sitting on, picking up and moving her backpack to the step her feet were on as she did so to make room for Anthony if he wanted to sit down, or maybe just move along. She bit her lip slightly, looking down at her book and placing the postcard from Ireland that she used for her bookmark on the page she was reading before dropping it in her bag. She really didn't want to admit it.. But Anthony was really cute. She wouldn't mind sitting and talking to him for a while. But she he just wanted to leave and get changed out of his uniform, she could understand that too.
"You can sit if you like." She looked up and smiled at him again. As much as she was tempted to, she didn't allow herself to send him emotions that would probably make him want to sit, which was could easily do. She only ever let herself calm people down, and that only worked to a point, if someone got mad, then they got mad and there was little to nothing Pixel could do to stop it. She hoped Anthony didn't have a power that made him randomly go crazy or something, she didn't know if her own was strong enough to handle that.

Anthony watched the girl move some. She was making room for him. He thought that was nice of her. No one had really mad room for him, for anything really since he'd started school there. When she spoke up about him sitting if he wanted he slowly moved and took a seat next to her. He put his bag on the step in front of him. Then he was loosening his tie a little more and his dark blue eyes were looking at her. For someone with fire coursing through his veins, his eyes were the color of the ocean.
"I'm Anthony" He stuck his hand out for her to shake. He was sure if she took his hand she'd be able to feel a difference in his body temperature compare to hers. "What's that you're reading?" He let his eyes drop from hers to the book in her hands He'd never been normal, even before he found out he had this whole fire thing. He'd grown up in a life where criminal acts were in the norm and his family just wasn't like every one else's. He was raised by his sister and probably the only friend she ever had. He was alright he supposed. But even things like small talk just weren't the norm for him.

Pixel smiled when he said his name. Anthony was a nice name. She'd never dated or had a bad experience with an Anthony, so maybe that was a good sign for this guy. "I'm Pixel." She had hoped, with all the weird stuff around here, that people wouldn't comment on how weird her name was. But that hadn't really been the case so far. She reached over, taking his hand with a smile. She couldn't help but notice how warm he was, and it made her feel colder in comparison.
"The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis." She stated without letting go of his hand. She then did something that was odd for everyone else but just kind of who Pixel was. She pulled his hand up and placed the back of it to her cheek, smiling softly to herself. She wondered if all of him was warm, and decided to risk him thinking she was weird and leaned over, wrapping her arms around him in a hug. "You're like a heater... I like it." This was actually Pixel being re-framed. What she wanted to do was crawl into Anthony's lap, force him to wrap his arms around her, and curl up and take a nap in his lap. But she figured that would be a little too weird and she wanted to maybe talk to this guy again.

Anthony smiled a little when she said her name was Pixel. It at least wasn't an overly common name. In fact it was so unique he'd probably remember it. He'd never read the book. He'd never done much reading period. But he really hadn't asked that question cause he cared about the book. He was just looking for an excuse to talk to Pixel, who'd been nice enough to invite him to sit down with her. So he just nodded about the book, the smile never leaving his face. Part of that could be cause she never let got of his hand.
He swallowed some when she put the back of his hand to her cheek. She felt so much cooler than he did. Then she was wrapping her arms around him in a hug. He liked that a lot. If not because she was a hot girl putting her arms around him then because she was at least 15 degrees cooler than him if not more. Then came her words. "At least someone likes it. I wish I wasn't. It gets kinda hot in here and it's really hard to ah .. cool off." Some people could strip down and cool off. Even when he wasn't wearing all these clothes he was still pretty hot. But he figured one day it'd come in handy, even if only to keep a girl warm at night.
