Short History: Elizabeth was born in New Jersey in 1949. She was never popular during her elementary years, but all that changed during her teenage years. She was an honor student in high school and participated in several extracurricular activities. She was a cheerleader and even won Homecoming Queen during her senior year. She graduated from high school at the age of eighteen and eloped with her long-time boyfriend, Donald, in Oklahoma, where they still reside. The couple has nine children together—six boys and three girls, ages eighteen to forty-one. Elizabeth earned a master’s degree in Music Education from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1976 and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Oklahoma State University in 1993. She worked in three separate public schools in Oklahoma prior to receiving her position at Blackwood Academy for Delinquents. Her husband died in 2007 of pancreatic cancer, and her youngest child graduated from high school and is now in college. Elizabeth spends most of her time at B.A.D. teaching and helping students on a daily basis.
