Gage kept kissing. He felt the hand that had been tightly holding his shirt move to his neck then both of her hands were in his hair. He had to admitt even if only to himself he was really enjoying this. And if his guitar hadn't been sitting in his lap he'd probably be on top of her taking her clothes off of her. That's the kind of kiss this was.
Maybe she got that he was singing those words to her. She wasn't just like any girl. And hopefully she didn't see him as just another guy. Maybe one day she'd be Riley Pierce. Well he could only hope at the moment. Though he figured he was getting ahead of himself. She probably didn't want to be married. Maybe even didn't want to be married to someone like him. But right now kissing her was good with him. Again he'd like to be doing more but his guitar was in the way and he didn't want to make an unwanted move before they even got to their first date.

Riley couldn’t help but think how perfect this was, how much she’d needed this. Not just the melt your face off kisses, but the hope that came with it. She’d thought that after Charles, after how things had disintegrated with them, the fairy tale was dead. That she just wasn’t going to find someone who she’d be able to share her life with. She barely knew the man, true, but Gage seemed like a good fit. She no longer cared how ahead of herself she was getting, she liked someone, and it had been a long time since that had happened. She was going to enjoy the crush, even if it made her imagination run away from her.
Speaking of things running away with her, Riley was quickly feeling that it was happening at that very moment. She was acutely aware of every part of their bodies touching, and the less rational part of her brain was still urging her to tear his guitar away and rip his shirt off. You’re not that girl Riley. You are not that girl the annoying, logical voice in her head was reminding her. Hesitantly, she listened to the rational, but considerably less fun voice, and pulled away from him, though she kept her hands in his hair. Her breath was heavy and looking at him, she smiled a little sheepishly, not sure what she was supposed to say after that.

Gage liked kissing her. He didn't want to seem like he was moving to fast. Which is what they were doing. But he didn't want to make a mistake here because it was really nice to be kissing someone like this again. Or to even just be close with someone again. And Riley was good for more then just the physical relationship she was smart and funny too. And her personality was so upbeat. So far he liked everything he knew about her.
When she pulled away he looked at her. He was kind of sad that she pulled away. But it was probably for the best since they were like seconds away from going just a little to far for how little they knew each other. "Not that I didn't completely enjoy that but .. What did I do to deserve that?" His voice was soft and his eyes just stared at hers. He liked looking at them.

Riley let out a small laugh at his question. How was she supposed to answer that? Tell him that she got swept up in some stupid fantasy when he sung and it made her want to attack him? No, that was a little too honest. Those were the kinds of thoughts she’d keep locked away in her head for just her to know. Though it was nice to hear he’d enjoyed it as well.
She smiled, looking into those clear blue eyes of his and shrugged as a response. “ I don’t really know. I just really like it when you sing I guess. You have, uh, a very magnetic way about you when you sing.” she said, detaching her fingers from his hair. She brought her hands down and folded them onto her lap. “ That thing is a dangerous weapon in your hands, that’s all I’m saying.” she said jokingly, nodding at the guitar, feeling a little shy about her reaction and the kiss she initiated, but not embarrassed this time.

Gage nodded some while she spoke. He let out a small laugh when she said the guitar was a weapon in his hands. Maybe that was true. Who knew? All he knew was he liked playing it. And he liked playing it for her and if she liked hearing him then he would continue to play for her. He however was sad to feel her hand leave his hair. He liked the feeling of her hand running through his hair.
"Sooo about that date .. What time would you like me to pick you up?" He smiled over to her. He was hoping tonight would be ok with her. If not then he would wait patiently. But he wouldn't like it. He wanted to get to know her more. To like her more then he already did. If that was even possible, cause he liked her a bunch. He picked up the pick to his guitar and slid it through a few strings to hold it into place, then he sat the guitar off to the side.

Riley liked when he laughed. His face always seemed lit up anyways, but when he laughed, it was a million times stronger. And like so many things she’d been discovering about him, she found that she liked it. Now, she was a little biased, he was the first man to pay any attention to her as a woman, as opposed to a colleague in a while, and she definitely had a thing for him, but in her mind, Riley could not even fathom why someone who had him would give him up. It just seemed like foolishness. Lord knows good men weren’t all that common. Good men who were also attractive and sweet? Well, those were even rarer. She decided that his ex must have actually been a complete whack job.
She grinned when he asked about the date. To be completely honest, she would be happy leaving straight from the Auditorium to go on this date. That seemed a little extreme. Plus, though she’d been out of the dating game for awhile, she knew she needed to primp and preen. You couldn’t show up on a date looking less than spectacular. Her grin grew a little, she could wear the new peep toe pumps she’d bought. Gorgeous, but a little too high to wear while teaching. Riley’s one major addiction of course was her shoe collection, so if a date could be used as an excuse to wear a special pair, she was all for that.
She glanced at her watch, wondering if it would be weird to suggest tonight. They needed to eat, didn’t they? May as well do it together. “ Um, well tonight would work, wouldn’t it? Maybe at 7? That should give her enough time.

Gage put his guitar in its case and the papers on top of it. He would write another day. Maybe she would catch him then too. He smiled at that thought, then her words pulled him out of his thoughts. She thought tonight was great too. And seven was perfect. This .. was perfect. He was so happy she said she'd go out with him. Glad she saw him as maybe more then just a guy she works with.
He hopped down off the stage. "Seven sounds amazing. Gives me some time to call my son and get a shower." He moved closer to where she sat on the stage. His eyes looked up at her. Just looking at her made him happy. And he was always happy anyways but she added to it. Gage was a look at the bright side always kind of guy. He gently pulled her forward so he could give her a kiss kind of like she'd done to him a few minutes before. Then he pulled away after a few moments. "I will see you at seven" Then he picked up his guitar and headed to the door for the auditorium.
